Mr Shumate's work is an amusing take on life, usually. His ability to frequently include hints of the metaphysical cause me to appreciate his writing as well as his intellect. Prose poetry is my personal style of writing. We who choose this form of poetic architecture are often criticized as not being true poets. Do not stifle creativity by closing it off with narrow minded academic requirements.
