Having met the author, I can confirm she is a fantastically layered individual with deep understanding of the world and man's utter lack of understanding it. From humble beginnings and beyond, the pieces display that dissonance between the utter ends of the societal spectrum-- being in that between space, a purgatory of place only humankind can construct from nothing into suddenly everything. In a simpler sentence: Tiger Heron is full of life without the overabundance of clichés and romanticized tropes we have become so accustom to seeing (and reading). It is an unapologetically objective piece on life as it is, and can only be, from the unobstructed view of the onlooker.
